One ROM
I found out about this project. It’s awesome: basically it’s simple circuitboard that replaces any ROM by a Rasperrby Pi RP2350. It can be used to replace the ROM of retro computers (24, 28, 32 and 40 pin roms). An interesting fact is that, for a C64, a single circuit can replace the 3 ROMS in the Commodore!
- Web - “One ROM is the most flexible ROM replacement for retro computers. It is based on a sub-$2 microcontroller and all of its software and hardware is completely open source. Boards can be fabbed for under $10 each in small quantities, or under $5 each in larger quantities. One ROM emulates the 24, 28, 32 and 40 pin EPROMs and mask programmed ROMs used in nearly every computer-based system from the late 1970s through to the early 1990s.””

Migra Migra 2026

Every year I try to go to Migra Migra, a printed art fair that happens here in Buenos Aires. In this post I will highlight some of the projects that caught my eye.
Corina arrieta

- IG / Web - She presented a photocopy style presentation of her work to give it a “pirated” feel. She had a interesting publication related to an arhitectual movement that disappeared in a world congress in the 70s. She also has a lot of interesting work related to the Mar del Plata chalette style.

- Líneas como culebras, pinceles como perros, de Eduardo Stupía - I skimmed over this book and thought it was an interesting book to add to my to read list.

Tienda

IG / Web - “TIENDA is a project driven by two visual artists, Ver à soie – Francisco Astorga and En eso ando – Matías Egea. Seeking a platform to showcase our work, we created and managed this virtual space for exhibiting and selling artwork to the public, ranging from printed art such as photography, prints, and publications to drawings and oil paintings. Our goal is to maintain this space and open it up to other artists/friends so they can contribute their work.””
